Sarah Chen
Executive Director
Sarah founded the BillionTrees Project in 2020 after spending fifteen years working in watershed conservation across the Pacific Northwest. Her passion for river restoration was ignited during her childhood in Oregon, where she witnessed firsthand the transformation of a degraded stream into a thriving salmon habitat. Sarah holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science and has led large-scale reforestation initiatives that have planted over two million trees. She believes that protecting our waterways is not just an environmental imperative but a moral obligation to future generations.
